But here’s a common problem that most network marketing newbies are facing, they are having a hard time balancing between selling products and recruiting new distributors. Either they are prioritizing selling more than recruiting and vice versa.
In order deal with this problem you need to fully understand the importance of time management and that you need to make yourself a schedule. That way you will remain committed to both streams of income.
2. Careful Selection of Business Partners
For someone who’s just starting out it is understandable that you will want everyone who will express their interest to be part of your downline because you want to immediately return back the monetary investment that you’ve made.
But here’s the thing, as much as someone would really be interested in joining your opportunity majority of the people who got involved in network marketing cannot carry their own weight. With that in mind, you should carefully consider the quality of people that you want to be your downline to the point that you cannot accept anyone.
Sure, your downlines and your recruits are essential parts of your business but if you let anyone be in your downline, you’re just setting them up for failure.
3. Give Realistic Expectations
What you need to do is to have a conversation with them first before you sign them up. Give them realistic expectations. That way, you will know whether they are serious about the business, or whether they’re looking for a get rich quick scheme.
The sad thing is that majority of the people who get involved in this industry have false business expectations and are only in for a get rich quick scheme. This is not really a surprise because the majority of network marketers are promoting a message that all they have to do is recruit a couple of people and they can just sit back and the money will start flowing.
If you want to be successful, you need to realize that that’s not how it works. As mentioned, you need to do some selling as well.
4. Choose A Product That You Will Enjoy
Another important thing that you also need to consider is the company that you want to be involved with. You should consider joining a company where you will enjoy the product and enjoy what you do.
The reason it’s important to enjoy what you do is that you are trying to convince others to try it; if you don’t look like you’re having a great time, you can’t convince others. Your business might suffer.
So if you like beauty products try to find a company that sells beauty products.
5. Networking with Other Network Marketers
This may seem counter-productive but talking to other network marketers from other companies can be a great opportunity for you because you can get into the head of others who are doing the same thing as you are.
You can get suggestions, advice and warnings from people who have been where you are, and it can be a wonderful way to make contacts as well.
