If you want to learn how to recruit people in network marketing or in your home based business, social media is undeniably the most powerful resource because it provides you with an immediate access to people that you can reach out to.
On the other hand it can be your worst enemy if you don’t know how to utilize it effectively.
With that in mind it’s important that you know a social media recruiting formula that will help you get started a conversation with a potential prospect with ease and possibly will lead to a new sign up.
This strategy will work for you even if you’re just starting out, have no warm market, no business experience or zero confidence. Maybe you already have a team and felt that it got stuck, this simple strategy will work for you also.
Utilizing the Your Facebook Friends
I will just have to assume that you have at least Facebook friends because if you do you can immediately implement this strategy. Don’t make the same mistake that I did because I was so focused on getting new people when I have a thousand people in my friends list that are potential leads for my business.
The fact that I did that is because I didn’t know what to do with all these people. So you’re in for a treat because you’re gonna learn how to start a conversation with these people.
Getting the Conversation Started (Without Looking Like A Spammer)
Before you go ahead and start a conversation with your Facebook friend it’s important to know your goals. This is crucial because this will determine your success with this strategy:
- To make a new friend
- To see if they’re open
By going out there and having this mindset you will definitely not get hung up when someone answers negatively. You just politely end the conversation and move on to the next person.
Here’s the script that you can use:
“Hey (First Name), I just have to apologize. I know you’ve been on my friends list for quite some time and I’ve seen your status updates pop up. I’ve never taken the time to reach out to you. I hate that Facebook can be so impersonal sometimes, anyways just wanted to connect, noticed you’re in (real estate), is that something you enjoy?”
Follow Up Question To Ask To See If They’re Open
Once you’ve asked this question you can then proceed with these 4 follow up questions:
- How long have you been working there in that profession, etc?
- Have you ever considered doing anything else?
- Would you consider yourself a self starter and driven, or are you pretty much happy with where you’re at?
- I don’t know if this is a fit for you, but I thought I’d throw it out there given how motivated you seem.
As you can see these scripts are so simple, conversational and social which is very important on any social media channel, and you should be.
