How To Stay On Track On Your Online Business

One of my biggest struggle in my home based business is consistency. And I have to admit I am really a slacker because I tend to do the things that I’m used to do before I’ve joined the entrepreneurial space.

But I’ve said to myself, “This cannot go on, I have to adjust myself!”

So I’ve continued on training to become a serious online business owner and here’s what I’ve learned:

As an online business person you have to treat yourself as a business athlete; you’ve got to show up every day for your business and you have to lead in your business.

You have to prepare yourself to run the business race on the following aspects:

  • Mentally
  • Physically
  • Emotionally
  • Psychologically
  • Spiritually

A big part of this business is adopting new routines, routines that you didn’t have previously especially if you’re transitioning out of the employee space, where you’re just waiting to be told what to do.

But in the entrepreneurial space, it doesn’t work that way. You have to show up each and every day.

And now that you’ve decided to that this will be the exercise that you’ll be doing in order to achieve maximum productivity in your online business in the shortest amount of time possible.

This is an exercise developed by Charles Schwab.

What you need to do, before you sleep, is you write down the top 5 priorities that you need to get done the next day. And you need to have them as focused as possible on income producing results.

Some examples are:

  • Writing and email sequence to your new subscribers
  • Putting together an email broadcast about a new promo webinar
  • Creating an ad

The reason behind it is because while we’re sleeping, our brain is doing all its filing of data during this down time and this helps connect the dots. So that when you wake up you can actually have solutions awaiting you.

So that’s what I did every night before going to sleep I always write down my top 5 priorities for the next day.

So should try this exercise too.
