First let me tell you something about a sponsor that I’ve had.

Matagal ko na syang kakilala, I believe it’s around year 2007. Nakilala ko sya sa isang online game that time.

And he was already earning money while playing the game by selling virtual stuff.

When I came to know him personally I’ve discovered that he was also a computer shop owner. He also involved himself with part-time stuff on Facebook those days. And he also became a top retailer in a food cart business. At least that’s what I’ve learned about him.

So nung ininvite nya ako ng sumali dun sa bagong home based opportunity na sinalihan nya he didn’t take so much of an effort to convince me. Inantay ko lang na makaipon ako ng puhunan para makapagjoin then after nun nag-sign up agad ako.

Now where am I going here?

Kung mapapansin nyo, if you’re active on Facebook these days, this is quite obvious na madalas mong makikita ang ganito:

“Madali lang ‘to! Anyone can do this business!”

Honestly may katotohanan naman sa statement na’to. Kaso it’s only a half-truth. It’s only one side of the coin. And it’s very dangerous and misleading.

Bago ko sagutin ang tanung na ‘yan, let me go back to the story of my sponsor.

After two months of doing the business he was able to earn more than $4000. But how did he do that? When I’ve investigated deeply on his business life nung nagsisimula pa lang sya dun sa isang business na sinalihan nya prior dun sa primary opportunity nya ngayon, he too struggled on sponsoring people.

What he did is he re-educated himself and bought online courses that amount to thousands of dollars. He invested in himself first and learns new set of skills.

After he learned and applied those set of skills he was able to sponsor people. He started to develop relationships with people and built a loyal team.

Eto ‘yung mga taong sumuporta sa kanya when he invited them to join his new online business opportunity.

He got to a point where people took him seriously and he established his credibility in the industry.

Ngayon balik tayo dun sa why telling prospects that “anyone can do this business” is only a half-truth.

Ang katotohanan kasi ay ganito:

Not All Home Based Business Owners Are Created Equal

Bawat tao na sumasali in this industry ay may kanya-kanyang advantage and disadvantage.

Taking the example of my sponsor, when he joined his current primary opportunity he was way ahead in terms of skills and probably in time and money.

Tanungin kita ngayon?

Paano kung isa kang:

  • Stay at home mom
  • College student
  • OFW

Sa palagay mo ba magkakaroon ka kaagad ng parehong resulta katulad ng sponsor sa parehong period of time? Palagay ko hindi.

And let me just give you a rough statistic of my sponsor’s primary opportunity:

Currently there are 21,000+ members ‘yung business and out of those 21,000+, 4 have already reached the 1 million peso mark. That’s around 0.02% turn out.

Now kung totoong “anyone can do this business” by now marami na sanang nakareach nung 1 million mark, right?

So again,

“Anyone can do this business” if, and only if, they have the following:

  • Skills (Sales Skills)
  • Time
  • Money
  • Effort

And these are the two sides of the coin.

But let me just give a big emphasis on sales skills. As I have stated in my previous blog post here:

A home based business is a sales business and the amount of sales skills that someone brings to the table in the beginning will have a huge impact on their success.

But I’ve got good news for you:

Anyone who wants can develop sales skills. You have to have a true desire to develop them.
